Is anyone familiar with the admission policy of Detroit Mercy? Is it worth submitting an application on January 1st hoping to be called for the 2014 academic year? Fall semester only ends on December 17th and some prerequisites need to be completed.

not sure what your current status is right now and whether you have applied to UDM before but I was just told that it is too late by someone who was accepted there recently. I know that places like NYU specify the last day to apply and it gives you some sort of breathing room to organize yourself. I guess I should just call the admissions office.

You can apply before you've taken all your pre-reqs as long as you indicate on your application that you will take those classes before you graduate undergrad/matriculate dental school. In general, you want to have your application in as soon as possible since everything is rolling admissions. No one should be looking at deadlines unless they're serious about getting in.
