UDM Kira video interview

Hi,

So I just received the link to complete the Kira video assessment from UDM after getting the interview invite.
Anyone been through this and can provide some info on this?

Is it basically like interview questions and you have to talk while it's recording?
This will be a factor to determine if you'll be accepted basically?

We had that last cycle, it’s basically just a few basic interview questions, I think 3, just to get an idea of the applicant I guess. Don’t worry though, it is insignificant compared to the real interview. At the real interview, they mentioned that the Kira interview was just a sample or something like that. I remember a quite a few people said they bombed it including myself, not because it’s hard but because no ones really used to speaking to a webcam in interview style. My advice is to just relax, maybe read up on a few commonly asked interview questions (check out the thread titled “my list of interview questions for upcoming cycle”) and SMILE while you’re talking. practice limiting your responses to a minute because that’s how long you get for each of the 3-4 questions I believe. Each question is pre-recorded and then a one minute timer starts and it begins recording you.

Most importantly, if you’re not satisfied withr your performance during that interview don’t worry because the real interview is what has the most weight and will prob be the major deciding factor in admission.

All I gotta say is I had a really bad experience with it last cycle. I thought about not even attending the actual interview after it because what's the point, but I ended up going to the interview. The interviewers told me not to worry about it but I ended up getting waitlisted even though I thought the ACTUAL interview went pretty well. So I really don't know how much does the Kira interview actually affect your admission. Just do your best. Good luck!
