UDM still waiting...for anything!

is there anyone still waiting to hear from UDM? I call all the time and I'm just told to wait for my monthly update. I'm going to have to assume rejection, because I haven't even had an interview, but come on it's april...when are they planning to tell people?! I retook my DAT for them too 🙁 Any suggestions on how to get through to them? UDM is my absolute first choice, I would die for an interview 😀 now it's really one of my only choices haha. also, anyone still waiting on UNLV? I interviewed in january. I heard the admissions committee is supposed to meet this week 😱!

UDM didn't start interviewing until mid-November and I was told at my interview they will continue to interview through June. I don't know if that helps much, but this is probably one of the only schools left where people still might have a legit chance of still gaining an interview. just keep expressing your interest, and maybe try emailing Karin LaRose-Neil. She is really really nice, and was always super helpful when I spoke with her. good luck!

her email is just the general admissions one. If you address the email to her though, and maybe put your name in the subject heading, she will be more likely to pick it out. thats what she told me anyways last spring when I met with her.

i'll definitely try and email her, i just don't want to seem pushy. what do you suggest writing?! i don't even know what i really have to say to her! i guess the truth is, i'm wondering what is going on with my application, i took the DAT again for them in january, achieved the requirements, etc. I'm still waiting to hear back from one school (i had an interview here), but really regardless, UDM is my top choice. If i got in, i'd be there hands down. the program, staff and facilities are great. what would you write to her?! i don't want to be a nuisance! any suggestions/advice?!

Mercy is a good school and I feel your love for that, in terms of acceptance, man yeah try to get a hold of Karin the admission director she is not just nice but awesome, man they accepted my friend last year AUG1 so there is still time, if you want something you really need to keep diging, best luck!

I would tell her just that - it's your top choice, you retook the dat for them and all of that. Even if it doesn't work out for you this year, your persistence might pay off if you re-apply. Good luck!!

My tour guide student at the open house said he called a LOT and kept sending updates to the school on the stuff he was doing. And he said it got to the point where those admissions people were able to recognize his voice. So i guess if UDM is your top choice, you could do something along those lines. And yeah, Karin is basically the admissions gatekeeper. So if you are able for her to recognize and know you and get on her good side, thats a big plus.
