UF acceptances date?

Hi guys,
I'm a florida in-state applicant and I was looking at the website today. It says that acceptances aren't sent out till April 1st and by mail. Is this correct? I feel like thats cutting it kinda close, especially when most schools need to get a confirmation by April 15th. Is this what happened last year? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately you're correct, UF does take its sweet time getting everything out to us. I got my letter on April 2nd, actually, though some people had to wait until monday (last year the 1st was a friday) and got theirs on the fourth. If you live in Gainesville odds are you'll get yours the day after they send them (unless its a sunday!). Good luck! I'm a FL resident too; in Jax. I did confirm they have all of my materials and that's the last I heard. My guess (complete guess) is that if we are selected for an itnerview, we'd hear something by the end of this month to mid -Feb. At least that's what I tell myself to keep the voices in my head at bay! 🙂 Ha! Waiting can drive you nuts 😀 Best of luck to all and keeping fingers, toes and other various appendages crossed....

I have a friend/acquaintance that works in the Deans office (no I'm not applying to UF 😛) and just a small (and fairly close to accurate) FYI for folks...

Interview invites should go out the second week of Feb. Interviews will be held the weekend of the 10th for in-state students and the 24th for out of state students.
