hey Nicole!
I havent heard anything new. I got a call a few weeks ago from UF wanting my final transcript and what not from USF, but other than it's been pretty quiet. I havent made any other deposits other than the first one either. I was up in gville last week, it looks like all the construction is finished and should be ready to go for us in august.

Btw, anyone know if orientation is one day or for a couple of days in August?

I just spoke to Censari (sp?) at UFCD. Orientation is going to be 3 days, Aug 15th-17th. The 15th will be 8-5, and the other two days will probly be half days.

Hahahaha. I guess you can try!! They actually did it as an investment for themselves b/c they do realestate on the side. However, I wont complain and I will take what I can get (with a big smile) since I am paying for everything else on my own. 😀

Hey GoGatorsDMD-

I know we have to dress up for orientation, but once school actually starts do we still have to dress professional?? I Heard from one person yes, from another that we wear scrubs everyday, and from another that we can dress casual as first years.... so which is it??

Also, do you think it is necessary to buy ALL the books that are recommended or just the ones that are required?

Scrubs everyday- some people sneak in casual but it's not worth getting caught by Dr. Gale if you do. Some of the more fashionable folks will wear professional attire from time to time.

Generally you'd want to get the required books, but usually I wait and see if I actually need them before I buy. I'd definitely get the anatomy text, Netter's, and the dissection manual. The dental anatomy text is also very good.

I heard the dental school has a reserved section at Gators football homegames. Are any of these tickets available for purchase by d-students?
