UF is a great school, and is super competitive to get in, but I chose Stony Brook University so I can stay close to family and friends. As a NY state resident, SBU would be more cost effective for me. I felt a really good vibe from the faculty and students during my interview at SBU. I've also never visited UF. I would consider living or working in Florida in the future, but for now, I'm not quite ready to make that transition yet. Hope that helps! Are you waiting to hear back from UF?
