hi guys,
i am pre pharm student trying to get into the UF pharm program by next year. Just curious about how the professors are there? also how is the first year after undergraduation very tough, hard or average. Also what are my chances if i take the pcat in JAN2006 if i am trying to get in Aug 2006. current GPA 3.5 want to score really good on pcat 90+ thats why not taking in OCT. this thread is for people who are were enrolled or enrolled in the program at UF.

I'm at the Orlando campus and we have the exact same professors as in Gainesville. There were a few that I wasn't exactly fond of, but for the most part I really liked the professors. It's really hard to say how difficult the coursework will be for you as everyone's different. I had my BS before entering pharmacy school so I thought it wasn't much more difficult than undergrad, just more studying and balancing my time. There were quite a few people who took their pre-reqs at community colleges and didn't have degrees. These people struggled more and studied a lot more as well. I found that most of us that did well (I'd say ended up top 10% at our campus) all had degrees. Not to say it's impossible it's just the trend that I saw. Also, if you only plan on ranking only the Gainesville campus then you might have a slimmer chance of being accepted. Many students at my campus ranked Gainesville first and we still go in to the Orlando campus. That being said, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I love Orlando and I love the people here. Good luck.
