hey everyone, im sitting at my desk after drinking a cup of hot mint tea, sucking down 10 cough drops, and 2 dayquils. I have a physics 2 final tommarow which I am studying all day for and prob. not gonna get much rest. I have a real bad sore throat in which i can still talk properly but i am alittle nasaly. I have not hit the worst part of the virus yet so I am wondering. If I am dead sick on december 7th (i still plan on going to my int.), am I being rude? I dont want to get anyone else sick.

This is my first time getting sick this year and it HAD to happen now....😕why?

Going to my only interview SICK.

Anyway, any advice is appreciated

I went to my interview (UF) SICK! I was really close to canceling it but everyone I spoke to said, "if you can walk, get your butt over there" (I got into UFCD). Go to the doctor and call the admissions office- they are really nice and understanding. Just remember, earlier is better.

I agree with Kevin. I'd go to the infirmary and do something to ease the symptoms as much as possible for that day. I'm not sure what your acceptance status is, but I would definitely go especially if i hadn't been accepted anywhere else or if UF was my first choice. Think your sickness away! Good luck!😳

personally, unless my legs were chopped off or something to that extreme, id still go. my advice would be to call the Dr. and ask for a prescription, since you are only doing cough drops and over the counter meds......hurry up!!!

To the OP relax,
I'm sure they will take into account that you are sick. Freaky things happen to all of us. Just do your best in the interview. If anything the fact that you are willing to drag yourself to go to the interview shows dedication and strong interest. I heard one case several years ago where this premed had a runny cold on the day of her interview at the Yale Medical School. During the interview they provided her with kleanex and she was answering the questions as she was clearing her nose and sneezing. She ended up getting accepted to the medical school.

I was way sick during one of my interviews. I was throwing up all night the night before (not from nerves) so I didn't get any sleep. I threw up twice during the interview day (during the tour and also the orientaion part) luckily not during the interview its self. I got in though, so maybe being sick is lucky. I didn't tell anyone I was sick though (at the school). If its obvious appologize briefly. I wouldn't give up the interview though.
