Hey everybody,

UF is a public school so obviously they want 90% in state and 10% OOS, but I am worried, that as an OOS'er my stats are not going to be up to par. They say they do holistic review, but at the end of the day the first thing they obviously see are the DAT and the GPA.

If anybody was an OOS student who got accepted to UF or is an OOS student currently getting an interview from UF, would you be able to provide some insight?

In addition, do they take the undergraduate school you attended into account?

My stats are : 3.2 oGPA, 3.12 sGPA, 2.78 BCP
DAT: 23 AA, 24 TS, 20 PAT with everything else above a 20
I have volunteering, shadowing, and extracurricular experience as well as dental experience including an internship at a dental office right now

Residency: VA

UF is a school I am really interested in, so if anybody has any information, that would be greatly appreciated!

I say your chance of getting an interview here is pretty much nonexistence with that spga and bcp, add in the fact that you are an oos. But if it your dream school, and you got money to burn, might as well give it a shot.

Yeah i was really on the fence. Do you attend UF?

Your DAT is good but unless you've got some strong ties to UF I think your GPA precludes you from getting an interview

You probably would be better off at your state school anyways. UF is not worth it as out of state tuition. The program is quickly collapsing.

there are not enough chairs for us in clinic, so we have to share patients and procedures.

Are they not takings steps to correct the issues? This is worrisome information... hopefully you're not a gunner lol

You'll most likely need a masters for UF; but you never know, I would send a message directly to admissions! GL
