Uf or unf ??????

Am interested in opinions Both programs seem to be very good. UF has a much better reputation and more of a research component The cohort class at UF is around 55 UNF will be 30 students ...........Gainesville vs Jax and of course cost UNF is about 20,000 cheaper Can do UNF on just Stafford loans alone

No. Contrary to proper belief, I think the school you choose is pretty important as this is the foundation of your career. Plus, you will be living in that area for three years, which is a significant amount of your life. I agree that it is important to consider cost, but a difference of 20k isn't too drastic. I have a friend who went to the UNF program and loved it. But, I also hear great things about UF's school and it is, in fact, tougher to gain admissions to. However, both will allow you to set for your license 🙂

I think it comes down to what you want. Which school( UNF Doesn't conduct interviews so have you visited the campus?) has the type of faculty, environment, class size, rotation affiliations, etc. that you are looking for?

OK So I am fortunate now in that I have been offered spots at both UF and UNF
Have been to both schools and am confused UF is totally impressive , both faculty and campus ...........class size is larger 55 I did not get the impression (may be wrong) that the faculty is so open and welcoming as UNF . UNF does not have the prestige or research that UF does But the cost is significantly less the class size smaller .They have a new program director Dr Mettler who came from University of Delaware a topped ranked school in the nation ( the previous director at UNF went to Lynchburg) UNF does not have the college town feel that Gainesville does both offer amazing clinical sites . Just worried that I will regret not going to UF but equally worried I will regret extra debt

Have talked to two Program Directors at hospital PT both told me they DO NOT hire by school attended they hire by attitude and assume anyone that graduated and got licensed can adapt and work I know I have a great dilemma but need to decide and free up a slot for someone

Was accepted to FGCU the cheapest of all but totally did not like faculty communication or current student feedback about problem based learning.........plus area has limited sites and is boring

Its good to see that you've been given options. From the recent thread you posted it seems like you have made your decision. Philosophically speaking, most often we ask questions that we already know the answer to. Its just a matter of being confident and doing what is right for you? Ultimately in the end I feel you will justify your decision and make the right choice no matter the school.

If given the choice, I would definitely choose UF over UNF. I have been to both campuses and I was blown away with what UF had to offer and I have heard that the UF program is much better overall. Also, 20k is not that much of a difference in my opinion. Go with your gut and choose the school that best fits your needs.

BUT Seriously am glad for you that you got your first choice and knew exactly what you wanted with UCF Now will you tell me what you think my choice is from the post 🙂
