UF post interview process

I interviewed there last friday and havent heard anything yet. I think they told us they would put letters in the mail by wednesday this week with either an acceptance, waitlist or rejection. Can anyone shed some light on the process? If I get waitlisted what is the process from this point on? When does the it start to move? I'm pretty sure today was the last interview date at UF. I would have posted this in the Florida Interview thread but that thread seems to be about everything except Florida interviews. Thanks

Hey, come on, now. We do talk about FL interviews sometimes.

I'm not sure how the waitlist works at UF. USF will give you an idea of when you can expect to get in off the waitlist, but I've never heard of UF doing that. I was called first and then they followed up by snail mail, but some other people said that they just got acceptances with no phone calls, so maybe they don't do it any more. Sorry, I don't think I've shed much light for you, but I wish you luck. UF's a great school. 🙂

I've heard all sorts of stuff, one person said your interviewer emails you during the week if you're accepted, another said they post your pic in the admissions office during the week, etc etc etc. I'm keeping my fingers crossed at this point, but since I havent had any of the above things happen to me I'm assuming I'm waitlisted. Thanks for the input though, I fell in love with the place last friday and the wait to find out where I stand is killing me!

The snail mail is a bit slow...I interviewed on a friday, and received my letter on a monday (10 days later). In the meantime I received an e-mail from one of my interviewers congratulating me on my acceptance, but I got the feeling that was on his own impetus (i.e. that's not the "standard" method of notification).

In summary, see what shows up in your mailbox on monday or tuesday of next week.

I interviewed at UF in January and Robyn said that the last day of interviews is March 17th... sometime between this day and early April they rereview every app and rank the alternate list/ send out rejections...

checked my mailbox 3 times already today! its definitely too early to start drinking even for a saturday. Ill post as soon as I get anything and hopefully debunk the theory of no call or email during the week = waitlist post-interview. Thanks for all the responses though

Hey Vinyl, I was there with you last Friday. Who were you? I haven't gotten a letter either way yet either, but someone from my undergrad e-mailed me and said he saw my pic in the admissions office of interviewees from last week, but then asked if I had heard anything from them yet. So, I'm not sure, maybe they put up all pictures of interviewees? Who knows. Good luck, and let us know if you hear anything!
