For everyone who interviewed at Seminole and Orlando, have you gotten a package or acceptance letter yet? I know that the Gainesville ppl from 2-29 got theirs on the following Thurs/Friday but for me, so far, no such luck.

Did anyone find out if we all (Seminole/Orlando/Jax) have to wait until the end of the month?? Waiting is not fun...

Keep us posted Eric. The first batch of Orlando interviews were conducted yesterday. I would say you'll receive something today or Monday. I felt like I didn't do well during the interview. Did anyone feel the same? Keep in mind that we are not allowed to discuss the questions to other people. Let us know when you receive your packet Eric and good luck.

I interviewed on 3/7 in St Petersburg. I received a letter asking to reinterview in Gainesville on 4/18 because my interview was not very good. They may say that its "just a formality" and that "they just want to get to know you" but it seriously does count. I am using the CRC and several books on interviewing to prepare for the next one. Hope you guys end up better off than I did.

It's great that they gave you a second chance! You must have really good stats.

May I ask...were you not able to answer the questions or were your answers maybe not good enough?

Thank you for being positive. It has been a real drag. I was able to answer most of them but I was definitely not comfortable. I also had/have bronchitis which wasn't exactly helpful.

I got my letter and package in the mail today. It was dated Weds 3-12-08 so that explains the timing of it.

Hope you all get your invites or your acceptance letters soon.

Congratulations Eric, that is very good news

Congradulations, Eric! And thanks very much for the O-chem help.

I got my packet today! That was really fast.. I just had the interview on Friday and then they sent my packet on Monday and I recieved it Wednesday... HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders.. 🙂

I didn't get anything yet 😕

That was fast!! Congratulations private88. What city do you live in?

Got accepted to Apopka! 🙂

It is 45 min from the campus. Sure yours will come tomorrow!

I hope you are right PharmApp. The wait is killing me. Congratulations and I hope that I can be your classmate come August!

I just had an interview Tuesday at another FL school, and everyone I talked to was still waiting for ANY news from UF. I heard they are a late school, and kind of wait until the end to get the best pick of everyone! That makes sense considering the kind of school we are talking about.

For those who have already received interview invites or are accepted, any thoughts or ideas on the odds of still recieving an invite for this last interview. As of today, it is about a month away. I would appreciate any thoughts or information you may have gathered while interviewing about this type of stuff. Thanks!

I'm bummed about the satellite campus set-up. Would somebody please tell me that I'm fortunate to be accepted and should quit feeling sorry for myself! (But in a nice way--I am still a nervous wreck from stress) 🙁 Which by the way, I will be attending since a move out of Orlando is nearly impossible right now.

At a satellite campus you can be glad you don't have that 20-minute walk from your car to your class.

At St Pete it's more like 20 steps.

And the year-3 rotations are likely to be all within a 1-hour drive. You can't say that in Gainesville.

Just got my packet today. Very excited!!

That is great! Where will you be coming from?

Thanks! I will be coming from Winter Garden, which is 15 minutes away from campus. Oh and I know that you are still somewhat skeptical about the satellite campus but I hope we will all like it once we settle in.

For those accepted to the satellite campuses congrats! I am graduating in May and have attended the Apopka campus for the last 4 years. I must say that I was extremely skeptical (to the point that I was crying in the Dean's office to go to Gainesville instead when I found out I was accepted). I absolutely love the satellite campus set-up! We have a nice close-knit group of classmates and we really get to know local pharmacists since they facilitate most of our on-campus classes. I definately feel that this is a benefit that the Gainesville campus doesn't have. I also just found out that I matched with a highly competitive local residency program (~80 apps for 3 spots..and you thought Pharm school acceptance was hard). I am ecstatic and think one of the reason's was that I got to know many of the pharmacists because they facilitated some classes. I really enjoy the orlando area (a ton of stuff to do) and am happy to be staying. I did undergrad at USF so I really didn't need to do the big university thing again. Also many of us had UF football tickets over the last few years so that's still possible. Good luck to the rest of you and just give it a chance!

Thanks, Pamela, for the insight. Maybe if I just hear that people like it and do just fine a few hundred more times I will quit psyching myself out! I haven't heard anybody say they didn't like it after starting the program. Anyways, I live in Casselberry and I am really excited to meet the rest of the 2012 class and those in the other classes as well. Doesn't August seem like forever away!

Just got my acceptance package today!!! Yeah! At least for now, I can stop looking out the window every 5 seconds for the mailman to come. I'm not sure if I'm going to UF yet...still waiting for other schools, but at least I'm in to one of the best!

Hey everyone, I called UF today to check the status of my application. They said they couldn't offer that information, but they are currently reviewing out-of-state applicants with a 3.6-4.0 science GPA and a 90+ percentile PCAT. For all your out-of-staters...there's still hope.

omg...I am so glad to hear that...I am kinda in that situation now, 4.0 science GPA and 91% PCAT....I just feel hopeless because I did not hear anything yet...your post just brought me a great hope again...

It seems like there are many of us with competitive stats in the same boat. Hang in there benmap, I'm sure we will hear something soon!

How is everyone arranging housing?

I'm going to Gainesville, and I would like to get a 2 bed/2 bath. Anyone heading there?
