It is definately the proctors and administrators at our campus. During PTX in year 3, the classes are video taped. If you were picked to perform that week, you have to go watch the video and grade your peers. All the campuses are posted. In Jax & Orlando, the students appear to enjoy themselves. In St. Pete we are all nervous wrecks. Even Skills Lab, which was supposed to be fun and an easy A class was made into a horrible grilling session. Our group met for 2 hours before class to go over questions. Even then, I could only pull a B+ out of the class.
For the 1st & 2nd years, Practicum presentations are hell with the proctor they use. The proctor docks professionalism points for any little thing. During presentations she walks and looks to see if you are paying attention. If you have out notes for an upcoming exam, you'll get docked. We also had to draw our own concept maps in year 2. We got docked points for these, too. Once I miscounted and only had 59 concepts drawn on my sheet. I lost enough points to not get an A. This should have been a minor thing. In St Pete, in just about every class you get the feeling that they want you to fail.
I am dreading going back for the final 8 weeks, thinking that they will succeed in their goal of making me flunk out. I almost requested a transfer to another campus, but I decided not to add another 1/2 hour to my commute.
