Hello All,
I am currently in the process of applying to the University of Florida in hopes of completing a Nutritional Sciences degree! I will be transferring by Spring 2014 from my local community college, and as I do not know anyone in this area, I will be living on campus and will need to have a job to support myself.
Now on to the point 😀 I would like to complete an EMT-B certification at my college and then be able to possibly work at the Shands Hospital as an ER tech! I just imagine it being a little "easier" to get in the door since I will be (hopefully) a student at UF. I do not know if all of this is wishful thinking, as many positions require experience, but I have to start somewhere don't I?
I would love some feedback from current UF students doing the same or those working or that have worked as a tech while in school! How is it like? Is it manageable? Any other ideas?
Thank you
