Anybody else watching the fights? Whoever the winner of Liddell/Sobral is has to fight Vandelei Silva!😱 That guy looks like he would eat his own family.

Silva's mean as hell in the asian circuit, but he has yet to really prove himself in the octagon. He lost twice, and won once in UFC. Chuck is tried and true.
Disclaimer: Silva's my favorite fighter, so I hate to admit the fact that he may have his hands full with liddell.

Chuck is fighting very well. I definitely think Liddell vs. Silva is a better match-up than Sobral vs. Silva.

Don't think Sobral can last very long with Chuck, but we'll see.

Chuck is 36, and relies on opponent mistakes to knock them out with a looping punch or an eye gouge.......Babalu is 30, won his last 10 fights, and isn't making alot of mistakes (like walking into Chuck's foot).....this fight will be very interesting, and Sobral has a legitimate chance of winning. Probably the biggest factor in the fight is whether or not Sobral can take him down.

Also, the Silva fight isn't happening......supposedly it's PRIDE's fault....but he's definitely proven himself here and in Japan (which is generally alot more competitive).

Sorry for butting in.....I just glanced at the UFC headline and had to look...it's nice to see that some fellow doctors are also closet meatheads like myself.

Nevermind.......

too funny... So whats the deal with the silva fight not happening? They mentioned it tonight as still a possibility vs a fight with Tito at some point.

BTW What about Tito and Jenna J. That guys on top of the world

i really hate that sobral got too antsy and chased chuck, (even though he had him backpedddling) and walked right into chuck's gonna-put-you-to-sleep heavies. i have never seen chuck go to the second round nor have i seen him get taken down and on his back. perhaps he is champion for good reason. i really wanted to see chuck work for it tonight, as in go at least to the 2nd or 3rd round.

but i did see who he pointed directly at immediately after the fight. i was surprised ortiz got in there and kidded chuck about his lovehandles...and moreso suprised that chuck took it that well.

at least matt hughes is fighting in the next one. and sanchez better hush the fuss about him 'being the best in my weight class'.

I was watching saturday night with a few friends. we all threw ten bucks in the pot with the bet of 'who would win in what round' Myself and one other person said Liddel in the first...

Anytime you can drink beer, watch brutal fights(just how many teeth-shattering knees to the face were there saturdday night?) and walk out $50 richer, its been a good night!

Guess you are right, I just wanted to see something different. Liddel's fights are about like Tyson's early fights....if your late you might as well not even show up..

Next upcoming fight I'm looking forward to is Mike Swick vs David Loiseau at UFC 63 on Sept 23. That should be a good one.

Oh, congrats on splitting the pot.
