Cornell for $57k a year or UGA for $21k a year?? Cornell is my dream school and closer to family/everything I know and love! But I did tour Georgia and liked it!

I'm going to say what you probably don't want to hear. Go with the school that is cheaper, at the end of the day you'll be in severely more debt (about 144k over 4 years) going to Cornell vs. UGA for the same degree (a DVM is a DVM). I completely understand wanting to stay close to family (I'm facing the same decision), but at the end of the day it will be 4 years of our lives and after that you can be near your family again and in a lot less debt. That being said, I'm planning on attending UGA in the fall as well because it is a great school and is my cheapest option, so feel free to reach out if you decide on UGA!

I have to agree with the above comment! Go to the cheapest school. There is supposed to be an EO signed tomorrow that dismantled the DOE, and although it states it will "take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure the Department of Education and return education authority to the States, while continuing to ensure the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services, programs, and benefits on which Americans rely.", it is possible that it could have a difficult transition.

Additionally, taking out the least amount of loans will help you pay it off quicker in the future when it comes time to re-pay them! Both are fantastic schools, but I would still say go with UGA.

Congrats on your acceptances! At a difference of nearly $50k per year, saving $200k is a lot of money. You'll be so busy during school that the time will fly by. UGA is a great school and Athens is a fun city. Best of luck!
