UGHHHHHHHHHH my LOR GOT LOST POEPLE!!!

am SUPERRRRRRRRRRRR mad cause this LOR was sent the first week of July and it magically vanished!! trying to contact professors during their off time could be a major pain in the .....let alone asking them to REDO a LOR 😱 you can only imagine my situation, but I thought go ahead and bite the bullet..i didn't know how to start this but I got to know this professor who is a very nice individual by the way. On Friday, I wasn't having a great day and I was experiencing one of those "to the hell with everything..maybe this never meant to be" moments ,so i sent an email saying : "DR(_____) you didn't get rid of me yet...I hope you have a copy of my LOR because it went missing and we have no option but to replace it...thank you, I appreciate it"
Thankfully, my professor was nice enough to respond this morning and I found out that there is a copy of the LOR and will be sent electronically ASAP (yep vacationing still...when am I gonna get one??never..) .

KEEP AN EYE ON THOSE FLOATING DOCUMENTS PLEASE.. I REALLY HAVE A FEELING THAT ONE OF MY TRANSCRIPTS IS MISSING TOO👎

Sorry to hear that. Luckily they still had a copy and it's on its way though. It sounds like this could have been far worse, although I know it's still a big hassle. I hope everything works out well and you don't get delayed too badly. Just keep your hopes up, I'm sure you'll be fine.

they lost my transcript too, and it took em 3 weeks to tell me that they lost it lol. AADSAS is not fielding any phone calls at the moment either. Interesting.

What happened to my app was some parts of the information were magically gone one day I checked up on the AADSAS app. That was the time before I submitted my app, and the whole "professional experience" page was emptied and one of the evaluators info was deleted( my prof. asked me on the other day why he would receive an email from AADSAS saying that his evaluation request was canceled.) I was "lucky" it happened before I esubmitted my app.

nm, my gpa is finally calculated. I submitted my app in June and they been putting it off. Finally, I started calling em twice a day for a week to get some sht done. Vacationing Prof could be a pain in the arse, ask for his permission to email the copy of the LOR and submit it electronically or do overnight express mail.

All these horror stories make AADSAS sound pretty bad. Seriously, how hard is it to keep track of everyone's documents? Transcripts and LORs magically disappearing? I wouldn't be surprised if it AADSAS was just some guy working out of his basement.

I have some great news....MY EVALUATION HAS ALREADY BEEN SUBMITTED 1 HOUR AFTER I CONTACTED THE PROFESSOR!!! I just think that I was extremely lucky!! just like some of you noted this could have been a seen from some kind of soap-opera, but thankfully its done.

AADSAS just sent me a notification stating (sorry I took off the names) :

Hey, I had a same problem few days ago.

My last LOR was sent from my school on 7/1 and it was not recieved by AADSAS until 7/30.

I called aadsas because the other LORs that were sent in June were recieved by AADSAS within a week.

They told me that if LOR is not recieved by 10 business day after you send it, there is a good chance that they might have lost it or disappeared somewhere.

So I decided to send another LOR on 7/29 and paid the fees and stuff and suddenly, the day after I called AADSAS, the status was changed into complete. WTH?????

So mine took almost a month to get verified by AADSAS. So give them about a week or so.

Is this because you guys mailed them? Why didn't you have your referrers upload it electronically? so much more reliable and they can do it at their convenience with no fuss or muss.

I don't know what to tell you but some people like to do it old school just like this one lolz weird
