What classes is everyone taking? Here's my sched as of right now..probably gonna change before next semester starts.
Ochem 2, Physics 2, Ecology/Evolution, Human phys

Hoping to find a EMT course soon too.

Physics 1, Organic 1, Stats, Lit. in Medicine, American History

Chem
Bio
Calc
some other 2 random classes

My second semester of senior year has me taking a full load of classes, including:

Physical Chemistry II
Neuroscience II
Structural Determination Methodology (fancy name for a grad-level chem course dealing with spectroscopy, x-ray crystallography, etc.)
French Modernity Studies
Physical Chemistry Lab (FML)
Intermediate Composition (this is my 'relaxation' class, I enjoy writing)

I will also be conducting research and have an independent study course where I will be comparing French Renaissance satire to modern satire. That course will likely culminate in some sort of extended paper.

In short, I will not be allowed to exhibit any sort of senioritis.

That sucks👎
Since my school doesn't offer "Intro to Napping" and "Intro to not failing", I decided to just take classes of a comparable difficulty to those for my 2nd semester of senior year.

I'm taking:
Immunology (80% of the class gets a B or above)
Drug Use/Abuse
Greek and Latin Roots in Medical terms (online and super easy)
A Classic Civ class about Greece
Nutrition

I'm going to be coasting for sure. :meanie:

Here's my schedule:

Psychology
Humanities
French II
Composition II
Piano

👎

Chemistry II + lab, physics I (calculus based) + lab + recitation, and calculus II + lab. I'd like to take more than 12 credits but commuting an hour each way, 5 days a week and working the weekend really cuts into my study time. 🙁

BIO 2
CHEM 2
Genetics
Trig
(Also commuting an hour each way)
2 jobs ~ 40 hrs
(also commuting an hour each way for both)

Neurobiology = 3
Biological imaging = 3

Easy final semester FTW!

Second semester freshman year:
-Principles of Ecology
-Geography
-Calc II for Biologists
-Chem II
-Chem lab

15 credits overall

I thought mine would be tough but looking at some other schedules posted mine doesn't seem too bad. 😛

Brutal. You must have no choice but to torture yourself like that! In all seriousness...I hope you don't hurt your brain or GPA with all that.

The price I get for going to a small liberal arts college. They offer microbiology and genetics every 3 years and I need both of them to graduate. Plus I'm trying to finish my biology major in 2 years. (decided late I wanted to be a doctor)

Gen Chem II + lab
Gen Bio II + lab
Statistics for social sciences

It's gonna be an awesome term!!!!!!!!! Gonna try to do some decent ECs and get a job since I will have more free time than this term

(This is my Jr year Spring semester)

Transport Phenomena II
Chem E Thermodynamics
TA for Computer Applications in Chemical Engineering
TA for Intro Biology I or Microbiology (not sure which I wanna do)
Physical Chemistry II
Physical Chemistry Lab

and, of course

Jazz Dance

First-year, second semester:
*General Chemistry I + Lab
*General Chemistry II + Lab
*Introductory Classical Physics I + Lab (calc based)
*Introductory Classical Physics II + Lab (calc based)

Yay! I love the block system 🙂

How can you take these classes simultaneously?

Bio 2 w/lab
Chem 1 w/lab
Calculus
TA for Human Physio

Volunteering a few hrs a week and working 30 hrs a week.

chem 2 + lab
bio 1 + lab

BIO 2
CHEM 2
Genetics
Trig
(Also commuting an hour each way)
2 jobs ~ 40 hrs
(also commuting an hour each way for both)

Wow, how is that even possible? Chem is 3 hours lecture/3 hours lab. Bio 2 is 3 hours lecture/2 hours lab. Genetics and trig are 3 hours lecture. 17 hours of school + 10 hours of commuting a week + 40 hours of work a week = 67 hours. Plus homework and studying...maybe 2 hours a night for all of your classes? 77 hours a week? :scared:

classics (3)

pchem lecture (3)
biochem II lecture (3)
independent research-chem (3)
graduation! (>120)

😀

Graduating in T-minus 26 days... (okay, technically my school only hands out diplomas in May, but I'm DONE!)

So I'm taking nothing. That said, I'm currently enrolled in 21 credits (of which 3 have labs, so it's actually about 26 hours/week of class) and interviewing and working 30-40 hours a week as the captain of our local ambulance service + finishing my thesis. Yuck.

So I'm taking the semester off! Ha. I'm actually going to do some Wilderness Medicine stuff in Nepal and training for a marathon, but mostly I want to get caught up on all the books I haven't read this semester.

WOW you guys rock in taking multiple science with non science classes. I just graduated undergrad in Oct and will be starting post-bac in Jan. Guess what class I'm taking...
General Chemistry 1 with Lab (4 credits)
yes that's right, i wrote it...ONE freaking class.

My work schedule is already demanding and I'm starting slow and easy. I thought about taking more, but I dont want to stress, set myself up for failure, and have to retake the class should I fail.

In any event good luck to those that have a full load. I envy those that do not have to work and just simply go to school and study. Not so much for me.

Last semester! Looks like it will be:

Survey of World Lit I (3 credit hours)
Molecular Biology (3)
Biology Seminar (1)
Elementary Stats (3)
US History II (3)
Backpacking II (1)

I'm looking forward to the diversity of classes I'll be taking

Genetics + lab
Orgo 2 + lab
Conservation Bio
Super-hard Humanities GE
Running (yay)

...fun/impossible!

Huh, it seems that a lot of you can start part I of your science sequences in the spring semester. Lucky. My uni is corny, so you have start all of the two-semester sequences in the fall semester. Anyway, this is my Spring semester, freshman year:

- Gen Chem II + Lab
- Applied Calc II
- Elementary Japanese II
- Introduction to Literature
- World Cinemas

Next year I believe I'll be taking Orgo Chem and Bio at the same time. Hopefully that'll go ok... :scared:

Oh my gosh, has nobody ever heard of an easy final semester???

CPR - 1 Credit
First aid - 2 Credits
Research - 2 credits
Senior Seminar - 1 Credit
Short term Missions/Leadership (Christian school) - 2 credits
Stats - 3 credits
Politics in Film/Society - 3 credits

Done. I think you guys will look back during your first semester of med school saying "WOW what was I thinking, wish I took some time to relax instead of taking neurobio etc final semester"

Wait a second... you get an entire credit hour for CPR? As a CPR instructor, I'm mortified -- it's technically "3" hours according to the AHA for an initial class, but it's really more like 2 if you don't watch their ******ed video. Please tell me there's something else to that class? If not, kudos to you for scoping that one out of the curriculum

:scared:

It ends up being 16 hrs at my school. bios and chem are each 4 hrs each with labs, genetics is 5 and trig is 3. I work nights at my one job and at my firefighting job i can usually get homework/studying done if its a slow shift. In the fall i plan on moving closer to my school

(This is my Jr year Spring semester)

Transport Phenomena II
Chem E Thermodynamics
TA for Computer Applications in Chemical Engineering
TA for Intro Biology I or Microbiology (not sure which I wanna do)
Physical Chemistry II
Physical Chemistry Lab

and, of course

At least SOMEONE else will be able to commiserate with me. Even if it is only your junior year, where hell is expected.

lets see
-Composition II
-Biology II with lab
-Gen Chem I with lab (already took CC chem but no lab)
-Analytical Geometry
-Intermediate Spanish
-another class TBD at drop/add time

biochem II

Calc II 4cr
Microbial Physiology 5cr
Public Health and Waterborne Disease 4cr
Microbiology Research/Honors Senior Thesis 4cr

Not such an easy semester before graduation unfortunately.

Calculus, Statistics, Biomedical Ethics, English 200

I transferred into my state school's Honors College, which eliminated most of the core curriculum. One detail slipped through the cracks: a U.S. history requirement that would have been satisfied by the A.P. class I took umpteen years ago. So I'm taking that during the 3 week winter semester...and this spring, I'm taking one of the toughest course loads yet: advanced pharmacology, advanced pharm lab, biochem II, an honors mini-course, a writing course, and the credits for my honors thesis and departmental thesis, which mostly come from research. AND I'm studying for the MCAT.

Gen. Biology 102, Calculus 2, O. Chem 2 + Lab, Spanish 102, and Psych. 45 min commute each way and 2 part time jobs( 30-45 hrs/wk).

BTW Commuting into D.C. everyday is not fun!
