UGs: How are your scheds looking for next sem?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Human A & P, Microbiology, chem, bio II. 18 semester credits + horribly needy job, which gets annoying.

Electromagnetic Fields (4)
Quantum Mechanics (3)
Japanese Religions and Culture (6)

I'm glad I'm graduating.

Bioengineering core class
Ochem 2 Lecture
Bio 3

I can't wait. If I ever take another GE class again it will be too soon.

Tuuuurable.

Physics 2
Neurobiology 2: Systems
Applied and theoretical economics
Neurobiology of disease
Human Biochemistry

Also EMTing 10-15 hours/week
Research 10 hours/week
Hospital volunteering 2-3 hrs/week

Fun stuff ahead. The worst part? Signed up for a TPR MCAT class starting May 24th, so I'll get a solid week of summer before I have to start studying for the MCAT in August. Why do I want to go to medical school again? This stuff isn't fun!

Biochem I
Biochem I Lab
Mathematical Modeling II
Bioinformatics III
Piano I
Honors Research III
Microbiology

20 hours/week research
4 hours/week volunteer
7 hours/week tutoring
8 hours/week EMT course
EMT courses end in March and hopefully I'll start working during the summer.

I am a masochist.

so far:

Embryology- im totally looking forward to this one!
Physics 2 + Lab- sooo NOT looking forward to this one
Scientific Lit & Writing- should be a breeze
World Civ- general ed requirement *yawn*

annnd...i have to add 1 more class to be full time and get my scholarship. im considering a spanish, math, or chem elective.

all in all im looking at a pretty easy semester. no more than 15 credits, hopefully no class on tues or thurs so i can get in some volunteering/shadowing/working.

Quantum Mechanics (3)
Japanese Religions and Culture (6)

I have a great book suggestion for those taking Quantum Mechanics, helped me a lot this semester, PM me if you want the name, or I can post it here, I guess it doesn't matter.

My schedule:

Set:
Electromagnetic Fields (3)
Power Circuits (3)
Digital Systems/Logic (3)
Plasma Physics (3)

might also take Quantum Mechanics II (QM I is going well right now) or Linear Algebra, not sure which yet

These should be super fun, no?
Heck no those classes won't be super fun (I know you're being sarcastic). EM is the hardest class our department offers and will take up 20 hours per week at least. Outside of tutoring, I won't be doing much else except these two classes, although I've heard Quantum Mechanics isn't that bad. From the seniors that have already taken EM, they all say it is hell. Four hours of pure electromagnetic theory a week tells me I will be at my desk a lot while making very good use of my eraser.....

When I tell people I have 13 credits they all think I have it SOOO easy when in reality spring semester will probably be my heaviest work load.

Do you have a motorized eraser? My dad has one (architect). It is pretty cool/convenient.

What's your major? Physics?

We are on the qtr system, so I'm taking physics w/ calc I, gen bio I, & multivariable calc I. Looking at everybody else's scheds it really doesn't seem too bad...but still. Besides, I've never taken physics before, i haven't taken bio since my sophomore year of high school, and I'm not very good at math. Yup it's gonna be fun!

Physics II, lab - 4
Immunology - 3
Vaccines - 3
Research Lab - 3
Speech -3
Volunteering

 I totally gotta get me on o' dems!

To the person above, yep bona fide physics major. It's a shame too because the job market with people holding physics degrees is terrible, so no one really wants to study it anymore. If we had an engineering department I would've been all over Electrical Engineering, at least then I would have something to offer to employers.

Second Semester Freshman Year:
Calc
Econ
Bio (an elective on evolution...I didn't start the chem sequence like I should have.)
Russian
Composition
Gym

Senior, Winter Quarter:

Molecular Basis of Human Disease (4)
Nutrition (4)
Biochemical Techniques Lab (6)
History of Biomedical Ethics (4)

40 hours/week working
7 hours/week voluteering
2 hours/week TAing
3 hours/week tutoring

Sigh, it was supposed to get easier my Senior year. . . .
