IM FREAKING OUT MANNNN........AND THERE IS STILL A WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST ACCEPTANCE LETTERS GO OUT. I think most other people are focusing on other school interviews but as of now I dont have any others to focus on. :scared:

Lol, lemme tell you something...I'm trying really hard not to freak out. I am behind all of my classes so I guess that helps me a little bit. Still, I do get the occasional oh-my-gosh-what-if-I-totally-blew-it moments :scared:
 
correct me if i'm wrong, but shouldn't first round interviewees hear an answer by this friday, despite what they tell us? that's really soon if so...i'm so anxious!!
 
You only hear in two weeks if they REALLY liked you! It looks like the others they wait a little while so it might be three or four weeks. And they might table your application. But that is all good as long as we still get in!!!!!😀

thats bcause everyone who is interested in UH, is waiting for those who interviewed to post something to help them, or they have interviewed and are waiting on the acceptance letters. And I cant type very well with my fingers crossed like this.

I know how you feel... I'm about two weeks away from UT's yes/no/maybe.
 
Hey guys, I was just wondering for those who have already been interviewed or are interviewing for the next round, how much time did you guys spend on the essay? Is this supposed to be a very formal well-written essay that needs to be edited? Same question with the questionnaire and self-evaluation.

I had many people proofread my essay and questionaire. I know that a couple of others students did the same. And we all had different length answers for different parts of the Questionaire. If you want you can PM me and I will give you some tips.👍
 
Oh and to all of US waiting on the letters you do know that they might not be here tomorrow SO DONT STRESS IF ITS NOT IN THE MAIL TOMORROW!!!!
 
It might be here tomorrow but I doubt it. I'm expecting it to arrive sometime next week, like maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. I could be wrong. In which case, I truly hope that it only brings good news.
 
Does UH notify you for acceptance/rejection only through the mail or do they send an email too?
 
What if it came on Valentine's day that would be the best Valentine's I had ever received. They love me they really really Love Me.😍😍. But seriously I really dont want to wait that long.:scared:
 
do you guys know how many rounds of interviews they've already done? like 2 right? they've sent the letters for the second round but havent done them yet?

what time does your mail come? mine arrives anytime b/t 3 and 6 pm. gosh, i sound crazy, don't i? somehow, i have a feeling there will be nothing in the mailbox. i'm really getting me hopes up waiting like this, huh?
 
mine comes around 1pm But I have to work untill 10pm so I will not be able to check untill then.
 
just checked the mailbox, and i didn't get anything from uh...
 
Yeah I get the bug and had to go home on lunch break and check my mail also. No letter from UH. If they dont come tomorrow we get to stop the nail biting for sunday then it is back to being nervous on monday.🙁:scared:😕

If I end up not making it into UH will having the schools undergrad pre-pharm reqs (But no B.S.) be enough to apply for other Texas schools? Does anyone know if any other pharmacy schools in Texas have the same pre-reqs as UH?

Texas Tech, A&M and UT have almost the same pre-reqs as UH. They may have 1-2 more additional classes required like genetics for A&M and UT, macroecon and LIT for Tech. Other than that, there are no more additional classes that I am aware of, right now. TSU have a bunch of other pre-reqs that other schools don't require like AP, computer science, med. terminology, 2 sems of physics, etc. UIW also has other pre-reqs. Oh, UT also has a foreign language requirement.

UH sent out invites by email last Friday. Don't have to stalk the mailman for that.

haha, she was refering to the acceptance letter. We all had the interview 2 weeks ago.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, I guess. I was referring to the acceptance/rejection letter from UH. It's been 2 weeks since we had our interview and it's been a roller coaster of emotions for me since then.

In that case I'll be stalking the mailman, too. Hard to say what the worst part of this whole process is.
 
We have anywhere from 4 to 10 days to find out if we are rejected, accepted, or deferred for consideration at UT. I am surprisingly calm now, compared to how I was after the interview.

So... In how many days can I expect to be in total panic mode? Is this just the calm before the storm?

Hey guys! Thought I'd chime in here to get you guy's even more fired up. I checked my planner from last year, I interviewed on a Friday, and I recived my acceptance on the 3rd Monday after. If they hold true to last years form, some of you may very well get the good news tomorrow. Good luck to all, now, TRY to get some rest. Some of you will likely want to party tomorrow night!😎

Now, I don't wanna go to school. Just wanna stay close to the mailbox :scared:...oh well, I might as well go...hate waking up early for nothing.
 
my mailman has came and gone and no letter for me, boo hoo. but tomorrows another day hurray!
 
Whoops, looks like I came into this thread a little late. Congrats to all those who got an interview, and I guess some of you will hopefully be getting a letter by the end of the week...

i feel bad for your mail carriers.
go about your day, there's nothing you can do to hasten that letter.
i am kinda disappointed that it's 2008 and mail still takes three days. how inefficient. but still, don't creep out your mail guy/lady.
oh btw i got an interview on march 7 at UH! found out last Friday. I'm not freaking out nearly as much as some people though lol.

Do you all think it might be after the app. deadline? which is the 15th. I dont have a clue why they would wait and put us thru that.


This wait is 100X worse than the PCAT wait or waiting for an interview invite!!!!!!:scared::scared::scared:
 
Maybe UH is trying to size up the applicant pool.

Perhaps they will wait until the first March interviews to know what they have in the applicant pool. It would explain why the first acceptances last year (at least on this board) were early March interviewees.

Just a guess.

Send a PM to pharmacistUH. I seem to remember him being accepted early in the process. He might be able to give you guys some informatiion.
 
We interviewed on Jan. 25th and they told us we would find out within 1 month. So I highly doubt they would wait until March.

I just got mine today at 4:00pm in email for March 7.
 
Well, Mr. Morgan Ely told me on the interview day that it would take 3 to 4 weeks to make the decision. Guess it really is the case....🙁

Another day here and gone cause no letter in the mail again today. Well at least the mail came early and I didn't even have to bug the mailman.😀
 
They e-mailed my acceptance letter to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
