Uh oh, just NOW noticed an error on my AMCAS!!

the thing has already been sent to a bunch of schools!

the error is that for some reason it says i've already applied to UMiami. i've never applied to any medical schools before at all! should i call AMCAS? UMiami? are they open on saturdays??

I don't think they are open on weekend.

but why is that such a big deal for you that your application was sent to UMiami? Just don't feel out their secondary, but hey maybe it is the only school that will accept you, you never know

no i WANT to apply there, but on my AMCAS it says that i've previously applied there, like last year or whatever. this is my first year ever applying to med school.

So you're saying that AMCAS is showing that you're a re-applicant to UMiami for some reason?

If that's the case, I'm sure it's no big deal; just email UMiami and tell them of the error. I'd send the email Monday when they open.

Oh, that sucks. I know it's hard for us neurotic pre-meds to wait, but unfortunately you'll have to wait until Monday. I hope they will resolve it.

I mean, this shouldn't be a hard issue to resolve: you just email UMiami and tell them of the error, they look back in their records and find that indeed you didn't apply last year, they make the correction. Don't stress out too much about it 🙂

Let us know how it goes. I did this with another school and am, for now, leaving it alone. I figure if they care so much about reapplicants, they'll be able to figure out that there's nothing in their system for me.

If your Miami cares about your mistake, I'll have to contact my school too.
