I am looking at UHCO as my first choice school, and am not able to find much info regarding this school through the search engine. I would really appreciate any info/advice anyone can give me.

Someone told me a letter of recommendation from a optometrist who graduated from UHCO, when applying to UHCO, almost guarantees an interview invite. Is this true?

I doubt it unless this person is well known/regarded in UHCO and you have the grades..and this optometrist sticks his/her neck out for you. Its probably more beneficial if it comes up in an interview that way you can talk about things you heard about the school and show how you started developing interest.
