Big day, UIC is my first choice. Hopefully I'll hear back quickly if I'm going to hear. Interviewed early November. 😳 Sooo nervous!!!!

This is one day where keeping my phone on during class MIGHT be acceptable... I'll just sit in the far far back... near an exit.

Already let my friends and family know that if they call me today I will hire an assassin to take them out. If only I could block all numbers from calling today besides from dental schools. :luck:
 
all thats going through my head right now is "under pressure" by queen...

:laugh: I WISH! Waiting like this is awful! I swear my heart stops at every little noise my phone or anyone else's phones around me makes. Us Chicago people will have to meet on Taylor for drinks after acceptances 😎

s1refrosty, did you talk to someone today that they'll call?

they said at the interview that they'd call dec1, but I called them today (just to be obnoxious) and they said they weren't calling, but they we're gonna send letters...

anyone else wanna give a call and see if they say the same?
maybe then we can all catch our breath and stop staring at our phones
 
Oh geeze, I was just there for work and left. I knew I should have checked these forums before leaving. I'll call after class and let you know what I find out.

I remember them saying that they were going to call as well 😳

Wasn't able to reach anyone but I heard from another student applying that they're sending letters 🙄 Time to start harassing the mailman

so.....the calls have started...and the office closes at 4:30...this is going to be the worst 2.5 hours of my life...
i'm at work but literally staring at my phone...
 
just got the call. remember that in the event that you don't get in today, this is not the end of acceptances. the more you let it get to you, the longer the call will seem to take.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS , I got a long expected call from UIC too 🙂.

So happy and excited for you guys too.

For the rest, just wait and keep up your hope. Let's hope that's only a first day to give out acceptances out of many more to still come.

Now we can forget about competition and BE CLASSMATES, YAY.
HARD WORK PAID OFF.

alright so lets get this little mini thread inside of a thread.... who's going to UIC for sure next year??... I'm going for sure.. UIC COD Class of 2013!!! also.. im going out like crazy tonight.. even though I have a biochem exam this thursday lol!! we all deserve it lol
 
for those who didn't get accepted or even interviewed yet, UIC accepts students til march so don't even stress out. relax and be patient. good luck

Got a call from UIC today..... Asking if I want to go for an INTERVIEW!!! lol Congrats to everyone who was accepted to UIC! I will be a down state rival dentist at SIU (got the right kind of call from them today!) Good luck to everyone who has not heard yet! Keep your heads up!

lol so are you going to your uic interview on jan 8th? or have you already made up your mind for siu and are skipping it?
 
Oh Gosh, I was sooooooooo hoping for my phone call yesterday! I hope maybe they'll continue today. My interview went so well and they really seemed to like me but maybe they have a really good poker face. I have to remain positive and optimistic about all this waiting haha.
