UIC: any actual acceptance letters yet?

So for those who have gotten accepted through early interview, have any of you actually gotten the real acceptance letter in the mail? I got my acceptance email on Jan 20th, but no letter yet. I was just wondering when the letter will come.

At least last year, you don't get a letter until you tell them you are coming to UIC.

Yeah, I sent in my letter of acceptance to the college 2 days after I got accepted with my deposit, but no luck with an actual letter of acceptance yet from UIC. I am just anxious and wondering if anyone else got it! Thanks!

I got accepted in Jan and never got an official letter either and they still haven't cashed my check!

You'll get two letters of accetance for pharmacy. You'll get one from the college and one from admissions. They will wait a while before telling admissions who to send the letter to. Until admissions is told, they will not set up an UIN, netid, and that sort of thing.

Yeah, I was accepted early decision too, but have yet to receive anything. They haven't cashed my check either and when I called in January, they said it might take up to eight weeks of processing. However, it's now April and way more than eight weeks...😕

Hey guys! So I just visited the Office of Student Affairs at UIC COP and they said that they will be sending out the official letters either in mid-April or end of April. Just thought Ill give you guys the heads up! 🙂

Holy crap I'm hoping it's closer to mid-april than the end of april. I really don't want to be putting down a deposit at another school waiting for UIC to give me a response. Is it seriously gonna take almost a whole month to decide whether or not to accept someone after all the interviews have concluded. I would take information from the OSA with a grain of salt. They told me there would be a written portion and that the interview would last about 4 hours.

Well there are two dates:

If you got an early interview and got your unofficial acceptance letter via email then your official acceptance letter will come in mid-April or end of April. That will contain information about financial stuff, immunizations, and registration for classes.

If you just had an interview lately then you will get your letter of acceptance either end of April or beginning of May.

I talked to one of the Deans I know and she along with other staff where still going over interview results and stuff.

Hope that information helps! And yeah, UIC is always slow about stuff like this..so get use to it. lol.

In the package we got during the interview it says we will be notified via E-mails regarding the status followed by offical letters. My guess is that we will get the E-mails on early to mid-April, and the letters later on. 😀
