UIC appl-n fee and unofficial DAT scores?

Hi all of you guys ! I've a question about UIC appl fee-- do I have to send the fee right away (some people say to do that) or wait until UIC tell me to do so (UIC site tells that) because I've heard from some schools that they obtained my appl. ... and I know that UIC got it too but UIC kind of quiet on this right now.

And one more q -- do UIC or other schools accept unofficial DAT scores faxed to them so that they don't put the hold on appl.?

I haven't heard anything back from them either yet. I hear d that all their admissions people quit. Does anybody know if this is true? I can't get a hold of anyone there. What's going on? UIC is my 1st choice.

UIC is also my first choice as well. Two of their admissions officers quit yes Ann Shorock and some other lady. However, they were just in charge of the application process, but not part of the selection committee. I still believe that this whole process will take longer because of the new faculty members getting accustomed to the whole process. I haven't heard anything from them either, but they should have received my entire application.

don't send the fee until requested to do so.

follow the instructions on their website. UIC is notorious slow in their admissions process. They wait until after the new D1 class goes through orientation before they really start looking at the next cycle.

Just sit tight, they will contact you in the next few months.

UIC was a bit faster laster year with requesting the application fee (early July), but I'm sure the fact that they are changing some of their admissions staff is partial due to their current speed. I'd agree with the earlier post in being patient - they don't do most of their interviews until October-November and they don't tell you your status until much later than December unless you are among the top group of students.
