I am currently locked in a situation of unrequited love with UIC. I don't understand, I have a 3.6 and 34 and am an IL resident but have not heard anything. I know I have only been complete a little over 3 weeks but for my first true love its almost unbearable. Can anyone who has an interview there share when they were complete and when they got there invite?

Dude...chill out...i have similar stats, am a uic alumni, and have been complete since early august. i will be pretty p*ssed if i don't get an interview there, but i fully expect one. They say that it is a 6-8 week process to get an interview, so don't expect anything for another month.

Ditto. I've been complete since early august and I am currently attending UIC but still no word.

my stats are similar to the op and it took them just less than two months for an invite.

I am from UIC as well but havent heard from them. This is just my own opinion but maybe they are waiting to see how many of their GPPA students are actually going to stay at UIC and then fill those spots that become available with one of us (granted we have the stats and ec's). I don't know, there is gotta be a reason why you are already getting interviews at other schools but the school you are currently attending/attended, which prefer students from illinois have not. I wouldn't necessarily say that UIC is my first choice but it would nice to get some kind of news.

i understand that with such a huge class and low level of selectivity that they may want to save interviews for people who aren't using UIC for a safety, so they may being waiting after acceptances come in so some candidates withdraw. But on the other hand, you can't fall in love with a school if they don't invite you to come check it out and get the grand tour.

honestly, I have grown less and less fond of UIC for making us wait this absurd amount. Other state schools are handing out acceptances and UIC hasn't even offered it's own undergrads with decent stats an interview.

I am a special circumstance- finishing a PhD in Biochem at UIC....
When I interviewed it seemed like most of the students were non-traditional- not under-grads. Hope this helps. Don't worry too much- it seems like they are just getting started with interviews and the system is a bit unorganized!!
