UIC vs. University of Maryland

Hi everyone, I wanted to get your opinion on both pharmacy schools: UIC vs. University of Maryland. I applied to both schools and I've been admitted to Maryland. My interview at UIC is coming up next month. I will be an out of state student for both universities.

At UIC, I don't believe I will be able to apply for in-state tuition after a year so it's more expensive for me compared to Maryland where I will be able to pay in-state tuition after P1.

If you have any experience or knowledge of the program at both schools as well as location, that would be really helpful to me. Thank you!

I would go Maryland.
But UIC is 50k each year and it is too expensive in my opinion.
I aimed to go to pharm school that has less than 40k tuition.

Both cities are big enough but i heard maryland is not safe...

Visit UIC and you can determine which school you like.

I also think you gotta think this one after you are accepted to UIC.

Thanks for your response! Yeah, safety is definitely a concern of mine as well. I've heard things about both downtown Chicago and Baltimore so was trying to compare location-wise as well in terms of safety. I think I will have lots of opportunities in both cities though.
