Uic

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
sorry to add this q too, but its in regards to UIC. I've heard they usually take their own for the most part. Any truth to this?

I was trying to see if I could get a list of where the residents are from and most of them (at least from the few I saw) appeared to be from UIC.

thanks

you are correct about uic taking alot of their own students..but we also consider alot of the students who rotate here very strongly

a good place to train and great people to work with here

ps- the icu rotations are a michael reese and UIH- both are good

from what i remember, the unit at michael reese is a combined med-surg run by anesthesia. i'm not as sure about the U, though i believe anesthesia staffs at least part of it.

there is a tendency for it to be somewhat inbred, particularly in the CA-1 class starting this july. but i think that's more a factor of the faculty getting to know the UIC students better.
