I was just wondering if anyone has heard from UIC in January? I interviewed Nov. 30th and they said we wouldn't hear till mid Jan. Wondering if anyone had heard from them yet?
 
I think we had inteview together🙂 No I havent heard from them, I called and they said that they will discuss it on January 28th, which was on Wednesday, so I guess maybe next week? have you heard from the since..
 
I have not talked to anyone at UIC since my interview. I was just wondering when they were planning on letting us know. Thanks for the info.

Just found this out yesterday. The admissions board met yesterday (1/28) but did not make it all the way through the applicants. If you interviewed in November they probably made it through you. Quite a few of the 14 interviewees from January were not covered. They meet again on February 18th and will cover the January candidates for sure and the February candidates if time. So if you haven't received an update on AADSAS you are probably going to have to wait until February. They haven't gotten to me yet and I am going nuts!!!
 
I'm an in state resident and interviewed late Nov. so I did hear yesterday.

how many february interview dates are there? do you have any idea as to how full the class is?

I believe that they just had one January interview date (Jan 16). I asked that question of the Director of Ad, and the answer was that they still had 30/60 open.

Waiting is awful.

I was accepted. Hopefully everyone gets in after interviewing or off the wait list. I know how everyone feels waiting. Good luck to all.
 
yeah i heard on the 28th...got waitlisted 😕...wierd thing is that uic doesn't order their waitlist until march...so i have no idea where i stand.

Just heard that the admissions board members are going to be involved in mock boards Monday through Wednesday of next week. I don't know if they are going to reschedule the meeting or not.😕

that must be why they told me there is only one feb interview date, the last one of cycle.

if that number of 30 seats still open is correct, there will have to be some waitlist love
 
If you are out of state the wait list is not a bad thing. Every out-of-stater that gets in starts to think of repaying $260k in loans. Traditionally they have a lot of movement on the out of state wait list.
 
I know that this won't be popular news, but UIC is conducting mock boards this week, so Ann has rescheduled the admissions committee meeting to next Monday, February 25'th. So we won't hear anything until next Monday at the earliest--realistically until next Tuesday.

Did you talk to Ann? Do you know how many out-of-state acceptances they have given out?

Nope. I spoke to someone else. I just know that they won't be meeting. 🙁 Sorry I don't have more information for you.

they didnt meet, and wont til mid-march
 
on friday Ann said that admissions didnt met during the week and don't expect to until mid-march.

also, i dont think there have been any february interviews yet

She told us they will get back to us Feb. 18th by updating AADSAS and they will contact us the following day the 19th. I have not heard any from them. Hop they will do something soon.

it was a Friday when I first saw my invitation for interview. So it might be a long week..
 
Jeezy: Did they update your AADSAS application prior to that or did you just receive written notification-- should have read all of your post... got it.

Smee: What are your thoughts on the out of state tuition...? Would you just suck it up, or are you looking at programs to bear some/all of the cost?
