Hey gang,

Just trying to stir up some conversation about UK. I'm working out my decision between Tufts and UK. I have heard a lot about Tufts from students but I want to hear from some UK students or applicants!

Before graduation are you required to complete certain number of procedures? do you believe you have enough patients to fulfill this requirement or do you have to spend a lot of time recruiting patients?

Is there a difference between DDS and DMD anymore?

Would you say UK is a strong clinical school? Or is it geared more towards research?

Thanks in advance!

My buddy is at UK and says that the town is ok, but the hicks are abundant. You'll find odd things about anywhere you go. I'm sure Tufts would have far more to offer as far as stuff to do on the weekend, e.g., concerts and such. Tought call. Personally, I'd prefer to live in Boston even if it is a bit more costly. In 5 years you'll probably look back and be glad you did because the money won't be that big of a deal anymore. Good luck & congratulations!

I grew up in Lexington, KY and have grown to really appreciate this small city. I went to southern CA for undergrad and enjoyed my time out west, but the people are overall more genuinely nice here. I'll be attending UK dental next fall. PM or IM me if you have any questions.
