Tried looking through the gmc website and mmc website.... clear as mud.

How have the regulations for foreign trained doctors (ie non EEA) wanting to get into an accredited training position in the UK changed?

I heard that there was a recent court challenge and a rule change to the work permit grants.

I'm an Australian grad with full GMC registration who wants to do a radiology fellowship in the UK.

Any news would be appreciated. Thanks!

Fellowships are not necessarily considered "training posts" here in the UK. "Training posts" are used to (usually by Royal Colleges) describe stand-alone posts that may count for CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) and hence, these fellowships are not considered to be in this category.

Obviously, fellowships offer training to the individual.

As you are GMC registered, it will help in getting shortlisted. The individual trust that is willing to accept you might need to prove that no sufficient UK/EU national can fit in the post, before they can appointing you.

Good luck!
