JOB DETAIL:

JOB # 337603
TITLE: Pathologist
TAGLINE: Prostate Biopsy Interpretation & Urine Cytology Reading

LOCATION: Manhasset, New York FULL TIME/PART TIME: Part Time
CLIENT: Urology Associates, P.C.
PERMANENT/TEMPORARY: Permanent
POSTED: 5/10/2005 EMPLOYMENT/CONTRACT WORK: Contract Work
REPLY SENT: NO VISA WAIVER AVAILABLE: Not specified

DESCRIPTION:
Working for a private, very busy and high volume Urology Practice interpreting prepared prostate biopsy specimen and reading urine cytology. Approximately 50 patient biopsies (12 core specimen per patient) and 280 urine cytology readings per month.

Can that really be 50 biopsies a MONTH? or a day? That would be insanely cherry if it were true.

PS-Ack, nevermind noticed it was a contract work as a PT job.

What does contract work mean?

I bet my experience would be really useful to them!! I mean, I don't know how to do hardly anything, but if you need to know how much CFTR to put in how many cells in the airway epithelium to get maximal transepithelial chloride transport, I'm the girl for the job.

I could add some mad taco- and burrito-making skillz to my repertoire.

will you? will you really?

beary: I am acknowledging Andy Milonakis in my paper.
PI: Who is that? Is he an undergrad in our lab?
beary: No. I know him from the internet. He's an MD/PhD going to Hah-var-duh.
PI: Oh, do we collaborate with him?
beary: No, not exactly. But he realized that we need 10 CFTRs in the airway epithelium.
PI: *grabs paper and draws airway epithelium and inserts 10 CFTRs*
*long silence*
PI: Ok, whatever.
