Interesting...I just found this on their website:

Don't worry about it - it's no bg deal. We talked about it at lunch with the students when I was there. It's very very relaxed...you can do basically anything (doesn't have to be bench or clinical reseach) and it will fulfill the requirement. Actually, the students there seem to see it as more of a joke, really.
