    Interesting...I just found this on their website:

    ...the medical school requires that ALL students pursue an in-depth study of an area of interest and prepare a written, referenced report of scholarly substance prior to graduation. Projects may be based on a literature review, a clinical problem, a laboratory research experience or a community health project...

    Don't worry about it - it's no bg deal. We talked about it at lunch with the students when I was there. It's very very relaxed...you can do basically anything (doesn't have to be bench or clinical reseach) and it will fulfill the requirement. Actually, the students there seem to see it as more of a joke, really.
