I have an interview at the University of Miami on Friday February 4th. Does anyone who has already been to interview have any information about the process? I have to be there from 8:45 to 1. What do they go over during that period of time?

I'll be there as well. From what I've heard, its very informal and relaxed. I'm not sweating it too much--should be an enjoyable, informative experience.

You'll get there and they'll be some refreshments, which no one will eat because everyone is so nervous. There will be a 5-10 minutes speech from the director. You will have a schedule of a campus tour, department tour, and interview. Good luck

I would get there at 8:45 and not earlier. Save yourself the idle chat. Go to the third floor of the Plummer building and grab your name tag.

Dr. Hayes will present the program and highlight some of the advantages of UM. Don't be fooled by the schedule on the packet. It says the interviews start at 9:00, but Dr. Hayes will start talking at nine. When I was there some young woman raised her hand and asked Dr. Hayes if she needed to go to her interview, because it was past 9:00. She looked stupid but I think it was a legitimate question. You'll interview either at 9:00, 10:30, or 11:30. Hopefully they'll interview you first, so you can enjoy the rest of the visit.

After your personal interview, you'll go back to the room and talk with current students. You'll take a tour of the campus (which is fantastic), then a tour of the third floor, which is very small. I think it's the smallest program I've seen. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions. The students there clearly love it and are great ambassadors for the school. I hope I, and you, get accepted. Ugh... this makes me even more nervous and kind of pissed off. I sumbitted mine on Oct3 and haven't heard anything at all. I realy feel like my stats are competitive enough to hear something by now.

Undergrad: Exercise Science
GPA:3.8
Pre-req Gpa:3.5
GRE: 1050
600 observation hours.

Just waiting for an email from UM!

Is there any chance at all that the email went in a spam folder?? I agree your stats and observation hours are good...........Have you specifically asked to confirm whether you can verify an invitation to interview?
