Has anyone heard post interview from Umaryland? What was the turn around time it took to hear? Post interview, do in-staters have an advantage over out-of-staters?

The dean of admissions told us once you have made it to the interview....in-staters and out-of-staters have the same chances.

I think what the Dean said is crap! (It might be true, but it's crap!). What's the whole point in Maryland being a state school then?

Gosh, I've submitted back in August and still havne't heard from them!! 👎

I interviewed there last week. Dean Foxwell told me that the committee is meeting next on 11/17 (maybe it was 11/19? I don't remember exactly), and then again shortly after. He said that we should hear soon after that. So don't worry just yet...they only conduct interviews twice a week, and I guess that they want to have enough candidates to make a committee meeting worthwhile.

Out of curiosity, what did you think about U of MD? Are you in-state as well? I was very, VERY impressed, especially with the facilities and the research opportunities. And the surrounding area isn't as bad as I had thought it would be. With the significantly cheaper price tag and scholarship opportunities, it is definitely one of my top choices right now.
