for the question : What career would you choose if medicine were simply not an option and why? I wrote a short essay and really explained why i would pick career X if medicine were not an option. I am worried that it kinda looks funny, because if i like career X so much, then why am i applying to med school? Should I add a few sentences in the end stating something along the lines of "despite these good things, medicine is stil the right career for me bla bla bla" any thoughts?

i'm having the same problem. i was also wondering if the question just means what i would do if i couldn't be a doctor or if i couldn't do health care at all. anyone have any ideas?

I know what you mean. I thought about it. But I think admissions really want to say that you have other interests too. Because whatever you explain, you can probably tie it together easily with medicine, patient care, research, health care economics, community services, etc etc. If they ask, just try to to look at the big picture and i think we will be fine.

did you relate the career you chose with medicine? I just stated what I would try to become and then explained what I like about that specific profession. I didn't make correlations with med...
