Can anyone recommend personal umbrella insurance companies?

And also, do you guys purchase supplemental malpractice insurance outside of what's provided by your employer?

Thanks.

Everything I have seen on supplemental malpractice beyond the typical 1 mill/3 mill policies has been negative, that is they almost never help out and possibly put a larger target on your back as they are fairly uncommon. Particularly in psychiatry I don't think they make a lot of sense but I happy defer to the forensic folk out there who know more in this space. If I was doing spine or Ob/gyn I would likely have a different response.

I'd recommend getting umbrella from whoever you get your homeowner's and/or car insurance from. There's generally a bundle deal. I can't comment on malpractice unfortunately.

^That.
My understanding is it doesn't spill over into work related stuff. Just for when people trip slip at your home sort of thing. And bundling with existing carrier is easiest.
