Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any insight on how the interviews are at UMD, like what type of questions they ask, whats the procedures, is it laid back or intense, etc.... Any input would be nice. Thanks.

MD is pretty laid-back IMO. Dr. Meehan gives her powerpoint presentation first and then they talk to you about financial aid/costs/housing, etc. Afterwards, you break up into 2 groups according to your interview time. Those interviewing at 1pm-1:30pm are escorted to their interviews and the rest go on the student-guided tour. Then the groups switch and those who were interviewing now go on their tour and those who were on their tour come back for interviews. I personally like having the interview right away at 1pm so your not sitting there waiting (or touring) stressing about it.

Overall though, the day is very laid-back and the interviews are also nothing to stress about. They do a good job of making the interview more of a conversation, but that varies from interviewer to interviewer. As far as questions are concerned, check out the interview feedback section... they are the same typical questions as you are probably expecting

Hope this helps!
