and got a rejection letter today. if you've applied and did not get a rejection letter, you made through the first cut.

On the umdnj website it said "...there is a $75.00 application fee made payable to UMDNJ for the processing of your application."

To me, it sounded like the check was needed to be sent at the time of application.

What are your stats?

Stats... GPA-3.0, SciGPA-3.0, AA/TS/PAT-22/21/23. I knew that this GPA was hard to overcome. I have 9 other schools left, so I'll just wait and see what happens... but I sure am discouraged now.

Ugh, I called admissions and they told me NOT to send a check until I was contacted! I guess I'll be sending tomorrow!

Why wou;d you send the check now if admissions told you not to send it until they contact you. I seems strange that you are going to do this just becasue OP did (he got rejected anyway).
If I were you I'd listen to admissions and wait until they ask you to send it (which is what aadsas said to do anyway).

Nevermind, you posted your DAT... with those scores I am sure you will get some interviews, try not to stress! I would kill for those scores!!

OKAY i'm STUPID!!!

I just received an email from them saying

"This is to acknowledge receipt of your application to the UMDNJ-New
Jersey Dental School. ...Our application fee is $75.00 and
should be made payable to UMDNJ and sent directly to the dental school
if you have not done so already."

I was like... uh... you just sent me a rejection letter??!?!?!?!?
and I thought about it...

I got rejected for the class of 2011.
I forgot that I applied there last year too...

I feel stupid yet relieved =) even tho alot of you would say it's impossible with my stat, esp GPA...

Hahaha you must be relieved!!! Did you apply late in the cycle last year?

I heard UMDNJ is one of the few schools that offers interviews before DAT scores... anyone know the truth behind that? I was hoping for that this summer but at this point it looks like they'll get my DAT before even looking at my app... (taking it 2nd week of August.)

This is to acknowledge receipt of your application to the UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School. Please be advised your letters of recommendations and transcripts should be sent directly to the application service, AADSAS, as per the instructions. Our application fee is $85.00. This payment should be made payable to NJDS and sent directly to the dental school if you have not done so already. Be sure that your name and DENT PIN is on the check or money order.



AND THEN YOU SEND IN THE CHECK YOU WILL FIND OUT THE NEXT WEEK IF YOU ARE REJECTED OR NOT??? DID YOU TAKE SEND YOUR DATS TOO WHEN YOU SENT IN THE $85 FEE?????? PLEASE GET BACK TO ME..
