UMDNJ Interview Call

They do not have any more interviews, i called them and they said so. But there was no one posting here about the jan interview call....

i called up yesterday and was told that they may have another batch of interviews , depending on the number of candidates attending the interview from the list they invited so far.

Anyway UMDNJ sucks in their admission system....

i have been called for 15 & 16 jan for interview .is there anybody else too can anybody tell me how to prepare for the interview ?it seems to be so tough
 
Hi ...please let us know abt the provisional restoration that u did ....im sort of thinking ....direct /indirect...confusing ..which material...pls explain...

N rubber dam ...u used template for making holes ..do they give template...

N regarding theory ...do they ask ques on patient management or j clinical

i got a phone call today and have been invited for the interview tomorrow. now i have just a few hours to book my flight, hotel, pack, and prepare for the bench test. :scared:

Those who went for UMDNJ interview on Jan 15 & 16th, Please share your interview experience & Nbde & toefl scores with us.

Is there anyone who has applied for UMDNJ with H-4 visa? If so, do we need to get changed to F-visa category(Student Visa) once we get admitted?

OR
Does UMDNJ accept only those candidate with green card & citizens?

hey roni, for the interview experience it's the same as malboro described in the first page, and for the scores they ranged from 97 to 84 for part one and for part two it seems like it's enough to pass. and for the visa there were students with greencards, f1, h4 and even b2. so it didn't matter

yes santy. i was invited for the interview.
and there were 23 candidates for the second batch.

thank you cdc_bds. do you think they are going to take another batch for the interview in Feb.
 
they havent decided yet. it all depends on how many ppl they choose from this batch. looks like the bench test is the deciding factor.
 
I applied to UMDNJ very late... so I just waiting that they schedule a third interview too.

alka what do u mean by "intimation"?
 
hey malboro, they said they gonna decide on friday but they did not say that they will notify by phone calls, so i think we should wait for something in the mail
 
I called and spoke to Ms Karen Cook today and she told me that they selected 13 of 23 students who attended for the interview...she will be mailing the results today...so finally we know that there will be no more interviews for this yr at UMDNJ..wishing all the very best to everyone...!!!👍
 
Just got my acceptance from UMDNJ in mail. It's a very happy moment for me.:clap::clap::clap::laugh:
 
I got my acceptence too from UMDNJ.....I am in a state of euphoria..... really very very happy!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I am pretty sure that 13 acceptances were sent as per the staff. All the people who got acceptance - Please let us know if you are not going, so that we waitlisted people might have a chance. Thanks....

Could you please share your experince - application through acceptance , even questions in the interview at UPENN , am planning to apply to same.
My present status:
NBDE-1 :91 (taken ,jan2008)
NBDE-2 : not taken
TOEFL : yet to take
GPA :3.5
PLZ ,any little info , would be helpful
 
For the people who got accepted - can you please tell the deadline date to confirm the acceptance.
 
The deadline to pay the initial deposit is Feb 8th. Second deposit is due on April 1st and the program begins May 12th, tentatively.

I applied to UMDNJ in December.

The interview was very general. They wanted to know what you had done till now in your home country and in the US, why you think they should chose you etc.

The also had questionnaire in which they wanted to know what all you had done in the dental school in your home country.

The bench exam consisted of 2 Cl II amalgam preps and restoration of one of them, PFM prep of CI and provisional (they give the crown form) restoration, surveying and RPD design.

I applied to UMDNJ in september 2007.
 
10 or more ppl out of 13 acceptants have sent their deposit of 1000$. I am sure some of you have gotten/ waiting to hear from other universities of choice and just holding up the spot at UMDNJ by paying the initial deposit.

If you continue to do the same for April 1st deposit and do not show up for the program, the admission committe might not offer that position to anybody so late in the cycle and end up like last year with only 11 students. It would hinder the chances of aspiring waitlisted students like me. I kindly request you to make your decision soon enough to provide a chance for fellow students.
 
I don 't get that policy ,in other universities if they do not complete the spots they could call you just a day before they start.besides what happened with the spot of the first round that from 3 acceptance just two are going to the school.why they didn't assign that spot to someone in the waiting list.

actually i already got my acceptance from BU
so could anyone advise me weather I should deny the UMDNJ call or I should go for it...
