Personally, I feel that PDs primarily functioned on Step 1 scale for both Step 1 and Step 2 CK (i.e. you would have a great score if your Step 1 or Step 2 CK were >245, even though it is around 70+ percentile for Step 1 but only 46th percentile for Step 2 CK) . With focus shifting from Step 1 to Step 2 CK and Step 2 CK percentiles being a lot higher, it could mean increased anxiety for applicants to achieve higher and higher Step 2 CK to crack "X" percentile. This however may only be a problem for those gunning moderate to highly competitive specialities or institutions.
