So I got accepted to both schools but I'm having trouble choosing which one I should go to. I did a pro and con sheet for both and umes is kinda winning out but I wanna hear from people who go to both schools, especially umes because while I like that it's a 3 year program I'm also really scared bc......it's a 3 year program. If I mess up one class, all the benefits pretty much fly out the window. I'm totally confused so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you care about the location? Notre Dame is just north of downtown Baltimore so you're a lot closer to rotation and intern opportunities (i.e. Hopkins, UMMS, Mercy, and countless community establishments.)

I honestly have yet to meet a UMES student or hear anything noteworthy about the school, so hopefully someone can chime in from there.

All other things being equal, I'd go wherever is cheapest in the long run.

Yes, it is true that UMES is an accelerated 3 year program. But the staff here is great. Professors are quick to respond to you and you can usually set up private meetings with them if you need help. Did they explain to you about reassessment and extended learning? They realize that it is a hard program and to make 85% on the first try is hard at times. This way you do have the opportunity to pass and know the material. If you have any questions, please be sure to message me and I can fill you in on some more.
