I'm trying to decide between the university of michigan (where i'm a resident) and midwestern-arizona. In terms of cost, michigan is desirable, but what are some selling points for each school? Is the clinical experience that much better at mwu than at umich to justify the large difference in cost? Thanks!

What if you take cost out of the equation? Would you still say UMich?

If cost is truly out of the equation, then you should go to the school that's best for you. Both schools are established and have good reputations. You are going to be there for 4 years, might as well go to the school where you will be happiest if costs are out of equation. Personally I would choose UMich, but it has more to do with its midwest location, Big Ten campus, and connection with an internationally respected university. Why are costs out of the equation? And are you favoring one school over the other, if so what are your reasons?

Cost of attendance is certainly a concern but i feel like it is really overshadowing everything else.

I did my undergrad at Michigan and i would like to go there because it's cheaper, familiar, close to family, has a good reputation, etc. But every time I think I'm set on Michigan, I start to think about how great the clinical experience sounds at mwu. I don't want to miss out on that. So I was wondering if the clinical experience is that much better at mwu to justify the price jump. Will I be able to get as solid a clinical education at michigan? Thoughts?

In your shoes, I'd choose Michigan. I think the individual plays a larger role in clinical years than the institution. MWU is nice, but cost is a huge deal. And the support of (close) family is important in school. Then again, I have a classmate who is from MI, did undergrad at Michigan and chose MWU over Michigan.

Michigan is over 120k cheaper. You have got to be out of your mind to pick MWU over Mich.
Ann Arbor is much nicer than Glendale.

Also, Mich puts together a really diverse class.

Thanks for the input. I really appreciate all of your thoughts and I've decided to put down my deposit at Michigan. That has really always been my top choice, but I just had a bit of doubt remaining (since it is such a huge decision). Hearing from all of you has helped solidify the decision for me. Thanks!
