I'm extremely fortunate to be accepted by both schools. Given that I'm OOS for both, the difference in costs over the four years is about $20,000 (Umich more expensive).

I'm not leaning towards research, open to specializing but not sure about that, will have to borrow for the tuition.
I'm more concerned about clinical experience and job placement for each school. In this case, which one would be better?

I'd say UMICH, I've heard great things about the school

If not leaning toward research, PITT all the way.

Pittsburgh = Ann Arbor + Detroit in terms of fun

Thanks for all your replies, but I guess I'm more concerned about the clinical experiences. Do both schools have enough patients?

Both Pittsburgh and Detroit have dangerous areas so they should have enough patients. I would say Pittsburgh is better cause patients for dental students live closer to the school.

Michigan if you're interested in doing research part-time.
