I was suppose to have my interview on the 19th of March but had to reschedule it to April 2nd. I went there for my PTCB and sort of looked at the place a bit. The school is ok, they have some constructions going on so it hurts the image a bit but the people are friendly. They are building their new health sciences building. I checked their website and it seems that the school has a lot of student activities and organizations for the pharmacy students. I like it but that's only my personal feeling.

i was accepted there last year but opted not to go since they have some screwy 5-year plan instead of the 4 years that most schools follow...the people were really nice though and i think it would be a fine school. i know a couple of grads from there and they are great pharmacists.

I think in general everyone has that overall feeling about the interview since everyone is so nice so who knows who they will really pick. 😳 I'm still waitin for the letter too. hope we get good news.

Mine went well too...I really enjoy talking to them. They interviewed around 220 people and will admitt 115, I crossed my fingers for this oppertunity. I am very anxious to hear something from them. I am from Columbia Missouri. you??

Ha ha yeah we probably have seen each other same thought crossed my mind. I got my BSin Bio at UTA in Arl, TX umm dec 2003. Man amy you're getting another bs in psy hee hee I keep making fun of my diploma freaking cost me 20 grand for a piece of paper to hang on my wall to collect dust. It's as if getting a BS literally means nothing nowadays well probably cuz we make nothing of it. either way you'll still be a doc amy hee hee.
Yeah i made it to pre interview nite you probably couldn't miss me i came with sorta a possy I showed up with two other asian girlfriends from umkc. The party just helped to familiarize me and really let me see the unity of the pharm students although this one freshman chic sure did give my friends and i an attitudeish look. she never even had to interview they just let her in i forget why. don't know why she was even volunteering that nite cuz she really had no insight for interview questions. Think she was upset cuz we were trying to hit up this guy for inside info. she kept gaurding him as if he was hers haa haa.
Yeah I was scheduled to arrive at my interview I believe 9:30 but can't remember all of a sudden. yeah cuz i had my essay at 10 then the interview right after. The interview felt like it was only 15 mins. Allison? the lady who conducted our essay? um i had on a lavender plaid stripe shirt, black jacket and pink pointy heels. as for thin all the asian girls there pretty much were same but all taller than me. 🙂 Hey koby where are you right now ?

Hey, I am in Oklahoma City at Oklahoma Christian University. I grew in the Joplin area. I think that I actually talked to you at the preview party, I said something to three asian girls when they were looking at the graduate students which were all Indian and males. Do you remember a white guy about 5'10" saying something? if so, that would be me. Good luck to you both, we should be hearing something later next week sometime, I am tired of waiting.....

WOW!!! Just saw on the other post that you had a baby an year ago. Congrats!!!I just got married and not plan to have kids till maybe....another 4-5 years b/c I don't think I can take this big responsibility 🙂 But Some of my friends really look forward to see me as a mom. My other interview is at PBA, FL. I like the place b/c it feels like Taiwan. I miss ocean and sand beach. 😍 It will be a phone interview and should be easier. Oh well, it's expensive...but if I don't get anything from UMKC at least I have another chance. But I do like UMKC a lot better--pharmacy program-wise..

oh well..I guess chances are the admission comittee are having a lot of trouble picking the students since they make the interview so easy and nice, everyone did a good job on it. getting really concerned if not hearing anything...have an offer to reply next week..man...you would think it is good to have some options....but..no~.. 😡 . Anyways...it's nice to have somewhere to talk about the stress of waiting.

ha ha that's right you did talk to us I remember now. hee hee I was the one with the beige coat on but unfortunately I did not get a good look at you or remember. Yeah I have trouble sleeping every nite just cuz I have to run through my mind as to what I should do if i don't get in and when to do it. suspense is driving me nuts.

Just got done with the PBA SoP interview, the dean told me I did very well in the interview and I will hear from them in 3 weeks. I will call UMKC sometime later, I need to ask them about my financial aid too.

Nope! but I emailed Marilee yesterday and she told me the letters(acceptance and alternate list) were sent Tuesday-thursday...so should be hearing from them soon.

I really do not want to be put on the alternate list and be left waiting all summer long.... ahhhh omgoodness I've been in cali for the week so far and will come back tomorro. I finally got a chance to check our thread and you guys have both already heard!!! I got so freaked out i called my mom not knowing it was 1 am over in tx. hee hee she tells me I got nothing. 🙁 Man am I depressed but of course I still want to congratulate you Koby I am very happy for you for already being accepted. I hope you will have a great experience there. Oh and Amy don't worry I very sure you'll make it in cuz someone told me there was a list of 40 alt and her friend got it. think she was at the bottom somewhere. Dear Meo_em, I understand how that feels....I didn't get anything last year and I was really depressed, but didn't lose hope. This is good in a way because you can spend more time with your baby. Last year's rejection"s" gave me a chance to learn more about myself and people around me. Even if I don't get anything this year, I will try next year. I got my pharmacy tech certificate, and am looking for a job in Kansas City. So I will get more prepared next year.
I am the number 20 on the list...kind of worried because it seems so competitive...Thank you guys for the support.

hee hee thanks guys. what are you gonna do this summer koby? How come marilee emailed me and said they would let us know by June 15 does that mean final decisions will be by then? Or do we actually wait till august. I told her I'd hold off on taking june summer classes but if we have to wait till august to get rejected well then I would of lost all the summer hours. hmmm oh she also says to feel free to check in on how the list is going. have u checked with her yet amy? let me know when u do. i asked her how many are actually on the list so i guess gotta check my email to see her answer. i should ask her how many got in on the waitlist last year and how late was the last decision. 😳

I have to take two lingering classes: General Biology I [SMSU soon to be MSU, which is 1.5 hrs from home, 🙁 ] and English II (online through MSSU) so I am going to be busy this summer, I am also going to work at Walgreens. I believe by June 15, everyone who was accepted will accept or reject the acceptance, so they will know who can be accepted off of the alternate list, good luck to the both of you. Thank you for the update Koby...Marilee told me there are around 60 people on the list...maybe she did not include the ones on the satellite program. I hope to hear from the school soon....
I am enjoying my summer....I have transformed to a couch potato and been watching downloaded movies for the past three days....I plan to go visit my friend in St. Louis next week. If I get admitted I will go back to Taiwan and spend my little trip at the sand beach..and have some home made food..YUM!!
