ummm.. i'm kinda stupid.. a while back, i had an interview with UMDNJ, and i completely forgot about it!!! i woke up thar morning, here in tampa, and i'm like "damn, i should be in NJ right now"... ya i felt like a dumb a$$.. even though its not one of my top choices, but still. felt bad enough that somebody else could have taken my spot. so two questions:

1- would i still have been scheduled for taht day? the letter told me i had the interview on that specific day, but i never called and confirmed..

2- should i call them and scheduled another interview? i would like to see the school, heard it was nice.

not sure but if you need this school as a backup or want to attend calling can't hurt.

oh man that sucks! how far back was that? UMDNJ only takes 2-3 out of state students anyway, so they might have filled their quota by now. it can't hurt to try, but what would you say to them to redeem yourself? that's a tough situation. good luck

alls i can say is... how the heck do you FORGET ABOUT an interview? i mean, i have many sleepless nights in the days leading up to my interviews... my advice would be to call them up and just say something like my letter assigned me to this day but i was not able to make it, is there any way i can reschedule. don't tell them you forgot. that way if by some chance you were not expected on that day due to not confirming, you don't shoot yourself in the foot. and if they were indeed expecting you on that day... well... good luck with that 😳

Jeez, maybe you have some great stats and aren't too worried about getting in, but I can't stop thinking about my interview thursday. Just call them and ask if you can reschedule.

Do you really want to reschedule? You didn't even mail in the confirmation, which indicates you're not interested. It's all very strange that you forgot about this interview when you've been posting on these Forums every other day for the since the beginning of August. Doesn't seem like dental school isn't the last thing you're thinking about. . .

This sounds to riducolous to be true. Omar you mean to tell me that you really forgot to send in the intervew confirmation card, becuase you were too busy or some other reason. Did you really want to go to that school to begin with, probably not. Am I right.

Whats worse is that students who are dying to get interviews are reading this and wondering why dental schools would send an interview to someone has no common sense to send a confirmation or at least let the schools know that they are not interested interviewing.

And now you want advice on what you should do! I imagine that train is long gone and you missed you're chance to board. Adcoms are gonna be like no thank you.

Just hope this doesn't come back to bite you on the A$$.
