I know this has been posted prob. before so I apologize for rehashing it if so.

I attended a JC 11 yrs ago for medical assisting at a daymar inst. for medical assisting cause at the time I didn't know any better far as what's accredited and non-acc. and didn't think I was good enough to get accepted into a Univ. cause I had no SAT's or anything. I ended up anywho with a 2.37 overall cgpa...it is NOT accredited....

In 2009 I went to a accredited JC in Dallas and ended up having surgery and couldn't officially withdrawl (ended up having 4 F's on this transcript - but retaking currently at a university) and went back to the work force

CURRENT Circumstance : Because of the economy, being 38 yrs old I now attend Univ of North TX (UNT) majoring in Biology and I am predicting having a cgpa of least 3.5-3.65 from UNT and science of around a 3.5 -3.6 and yes,I have retaken the F's as mentioned above and replaced w/ a A and B's.

My question is how will this affect my chances as per D.O. application process? Will I even have to submit the Daymar - UN accredited courses?I am guessing YES?Will I even have a chance for PA program/s?Thanks for your replies.

Yes, you have to submit those transcripts. I too have unaccredited transcripts. I asked AACOMAS about them, and their answer was that I had to submit them and that if I didn't my app would be flagged and schools would be warned that I was hiding things.

Now for the Good news: Unaccredited courses are not factored into your AACOMAS GPA... so as long as you can explain to school the nature of that old coursework, it shouldn't hurt you.
