Hi, my very first post..yay!

I have a dilema, and would really appreciate your advice. I received a letter from UNC today. They told me that I can either go to a partnership program at Elizabeth City State Univ (classes through videoconferencing) or get on the waitlist.

The diploma will be UNC with acknowlegement of the ECSU partnership program. I don't know what that means, andam not sure how I feel about that.

Does anyone know about the UNC partnership program? Like, how are the students there doing, do they like it? How easy is it to transfer?

Thanks!

Hi! I go to ECSU. Whenthe program is you are videoconferencing instead of being in class (UNC). They just finished a small building for the Pharmacy school. It is really nice. They only take 15 students, though so one on one is a plus. You are right about the diploma. You have the same prilivages as UNC and attend the same function but your courses would be at ECSU and in a small enivironment. Take it and if you do not like at ECSU, talk to UNC after the first semester or year, and transfer 😀 to UNC. It should not be hard since it is the same program. Congrats!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thank you. I do agree about the one on one thing. I wished they had given more time to think about it. I have to reply by the 13th of april, which is next week! I will call them tomorrow and get more information about it. Ladypharm7, are you in the partnership program? If you are, how are you liking it?

I am also worried about the resources, facility, and lab.

No, I did not apply here this year but the pharmacy chool is all they talk about. The some resources are slim, like there is no medical library like UNC would hAVE. The few facility that they have helps out the students and as for as the lab, I think the have there own lab that was an old organic lab. But call to get accurate details. Good luck!!!

Hi remotefly,

I was also accepted into the UNC/ECSU program. I have some of the same questions you have. 😕 I am currently leaning towards accepting admission to the program mainly due to the fact that I don't know where I am on the waiting list. I am corcerned about the videoconferencing aspect of the school, but I honestly think it will be okay. The fact that there are only about 15 students in the class appeals to me also.

I just wanted to know what you decided. Also, Congratulations!!! 👍

hey uncecsugirl,

After much careful consideration, I think I will take my chances and waitlist. Crossing both my fingers and toes!!
