PharmEng... how long after your interview did you get an e-mail from UNC saying you had been admitted?
PharmEng said:It took a little over a month. I interviewed on Nov 18th and they e-mailed me the week before Christmas. They actually told us during the wrap up meeting that if we were accepted we would hear back before Christmas. So they seem to be pretty good about sticking to their timelines.
I interviewed on the 14th of Jan and they said we wouldn't be hearing yes or no until the last week of February at the earliest. So I'd expect a 6 week turnaround time before you get too worried.DemonDeacon said:Aight, I think I'm gonna go cry now.
I had my interview the other week... the 2nd interview took almost an hour and 20 minutes.
I MISSED THE CONCLUSION part for the day... they never told us to come back! Anyway, anyone who applied recently PLEASE update me? I will call the office on Monday, but in the meantime, just PM ME!!! THanks!!!!
Waiting and hoping.... You seem happy so I guess congratulations are in order? 👍poppopfizzfizz said:Just got mine in the mail today!!!! 😀
I'm just down the road so if you're out of state give them a couple days...

poppopfizzfizz said:No email or anything, the acceptance package just showed up at my door. Good luck!
DHG said:Grrrr! Nothing from UNC in the mail today. Maybe tomorrow 🙁

I didn't send a deposit to Mercer but I did to UT and I will to UNC. Hopefully Ohio will accept me too. I planned on giving deposits to all three. I'd be happy at any of the three and this gives my husband options for finding a job. He can apply in all three cities for work and probably we'll go where he finds the best job 👍 Unless he hasn't found anything by the time school starts and then I'll just pick my favorite. Having options is nice.cwindo said:Congrats you all who got in!!! I can't wait to hear from them. I had my interview on the 28th. Guess I got to wait 2 more weeks or so.
DHG, you got in to so many schools...have you decided which one to go? Are you sending deposits for all these schools? Congrats again!!! 😀

Waiting sucks but I'll cross my fingers for you!![]()
🙂 That's the plan.... This is contingent on him actually LOOKING for a job... he's starting to worry me. Well, he's been looking, but not much action yet if you know what I mean. Reading job descriptions on Monster and saying, " hey, I'm qualified for that..." has not connected with actually APPLYING get. Someone needs to kick him in the butt... I already triedMoxxie said:Yay! Congrats 🙂 Your husband having numerous job options is great. Hopefully he'll get numerous offers nad he can be your sugar daddy for a while 😀
The feedbacks were pretty good. No real 'tough' questions, just the usual "strenghts and weaknesses" thing. The toughest one I had was something like "Tell me about a time when your values were challenged and what you did" or something similar.patmcd said:Any suggestions for the UNC interview other than whats in the interview feedbacks?
we went in a lot of circles because of the one-ways and I was almost late. When is your interview? Good luck!patmcd said:Any suggestions for the UNC interview other than whats in the interview feedbacks?

As for the the Ohio state interview feedback, I'd say its pretty complete. They were super friendly, and very interested in learning about you and making sure that you got all your questions answered. Pretty much everyone on my interview day said they got the "Why OSU" and "Why pharmacy" questions, so be well prepared for them. They have current studnets from a variety of years, a finacial aid person, and someone from the admissions staff in the interview holding tank to talk to. The students were very open about their experiences at OSU. The tour was alright, but nothing to write home about.
Good luck 👍

DHG said:Thanks. Good luck to you too at UNC![]()
Ritzy said:Just to let everyone know, if you were trying to get into UNC from out of state and haven't heard that you are in already, they have filled all their out of state positions for the class. I got a phone call today from the admissions department to let me know that I was waitlisted because they have currently filled all out of state slots. But, don't worry if you're out of state and really wanted to go to UNC and haven't heard anything. She also said that as spots open up, people on the waitlist will get moved in. I don't think I'm going to end up going there... not if it takes too long to hear whether or not I make it past the wait list.
starsweet said:Do you happen to know how many out of state seats there were? Thanks for this info. I guess it was really competitive this year. 🙁
cwindo said:There's only 18% of the whole seats allocated for out of state. So out of 150 seats, there are only 27 seats for out of state. Yeah...it's pretty slim chance for us out of state people. I didn't make it to that 27 people. A lot of people that were interviewed were from out of state. I wonder why they even bothered to invite us for interviews.

Ritzy said:Since your friend recieved a rejection letter, and I got a phonecall about the waitlist, I'd assume phone call = good (waitlist), letter=bad (rejection).
I'm sure they will be calling you soon if you interviewed on the 14th as well. And just because you interviewed on the 24th of January and you're out of state doesn't mean your acceptance letter isn't on the way now. You might have been more qualified than me, and they would have been able to make a decision between then and now. Good luck, either way!
astevens said:Hey Just to let you know... I am an out-of-stater and I got accepted to UNC. I have paid my deposit and such too... However, I just got an acceptance from my first choice school, so I will probably be attending elsewhere. So that should be at least one spot, good luck to you all!!!

starsweet said:What are your stats if you don't mind my asking?
I have been checking my snail mail. I haven't stalked the mailman yet, but it's a thought.yupyup said:I'm not sure about everyone else, but I got my acceptance in the mail, not an e-mail as they did for interviews... so maybe you should check that obsessively instead!
